Speaking at the High Road Stadium on Friday, Rover’s Chairman Ray Davies said that he welcomes the support from Airborne Taxi, who will become shirt sponsors for the next three seasons. Airborne Taxi has become a familiar sight at the City Airport over the past fifteen years and their distinctive aeroplane logo will feature on the Rovers home and away shirts. The deal includes full page taxi advertisements in the match programmes and banner hoardings inside the stadium. Mr Davies added that he was particularly pleased to have found a sponsor from the local business community and he felt that there were distinct synergies between the two organisations. City Airport had previously sponsored the Rovers shirts but had been unable to continue with the arrangement so the timely approach from the Airport taxi company has given a much needed boost to the football club.
